About Your State Committee Member

Each Assembly District has one female and one male State Committee Member that represents the voters in their district. State Committee Members serve two terms with no limits on the amount of terms. They must reside within in the district and they are unpaid elected party officials. As your State Committee Member, Alyah will be responsible for attending and voting at the political party’s state convention and annual meetings. An effective State Committee Member serves as a liaison between the community, local elected officials, city government, and political candidates. State Committee Members encourage community political engagement at all levels of politics.
